Digital viewing of exams via cmlifeSince the summer semester 2020, exams can be viewed digitally via cmlife; an application form is no longer required. As soon as the exams have been released by the examination office, you can view them in cmlife under "Studies"->"Overview"-> "Modules and Assessments". Please note that it may still take some time after the grades have been published before the exam can be viewed. As soon as an exam has been released for digital viewing, you will receive the notification via your event stream under the tab Study. Note: For viewing exams digitally via cmlife, you must be logged into the network of the University of Bayreuth (via eduroam or VPN). |
Requests for reassessment
Please note that in the case of a reassessment, the examination performance will be reassessed in its entirety. A request for a reassessment can only be granted in justified cases. Justified cases are, for example:
The request for a reassessment must be substantiated in a concrete and comprehensible manner. A general criticism of the correction is not sufficient to justify a request for a reassessment. Furthermore, criticism of the points/grading system is also not permissible as a justification. Therefore, always refer to a specific task or part of a task and explain objectively why a reassessment is necessary. References to the exams of other students or an allegedly unfair assessment are not sufficient. Please also note any individual requirements of the respective chair, e.g. regarding deadlines or the form of the request! The processing of a reassessment can take several weeks. As soon as the correction is completed, you will be informed by e-mail. |

Students of the bachelor and master degree programs Business Administration, Economics, Health Economics, International Economics and Development, International Economics and Governance, Business Administration and Engineering and Management can look at their exams in the Examination Office for Economics, building RW II, room 119.

- May I take pictures of my exams during the post-exam review?Hide

Students are allowed to take pictures of their exams as well as any reports for examinations.For this, the following note should be observed:
„Facts and issues of the examination tasks as well as the correction comments and valuation justification of the examiners are subject to copyright protection. The permission to make copies is solely for the purpose of your own interest. Disclosure to third parties and publication on the Internet or any other means is prohibited and may result in the case of a breach of legal consequences. This shall not affect the disclosure for the purpose of prosecution in the context of any review or legal proceedings, in particular an authorized attorney or an attorney.“

Please submit your application for leave of absence with the necessary verifications to the student chancellery.

During leave of absence, study credits may not be awarded and examinations at the university where the leave of absence was granted may not be taken; a repetition of failed examinations and passed examinations within the scope of the improvement possibilities is permissible.

Information on the illness-related resignation of examinations
Should students be prevented from taking an examination, they shall immediately, namely at the latest within three working days of the date of the examination, inform the examination office about this in written form. If disability is claimed for illness, the following applies:
It is the responsibility of the Examination Board to decide whether or not it is incapacitated. Therefore, a medical certificate based on an examination which must have taken place no later than the day of the declared inability to take an examination is submitted. It is requested to ask the doctor to use the form provided by the examination office. If inpatient treatment takes place in a hospital on the day of the examination, a certificate from the hospital must be submitted without delay. The certificate or the form is in the original (a fax is not an original) immediately, namely at the latest within three working days after the date of the examination, submit in the examination office.
- How do I receive my diploma?Hide

Once you have completed all the disciplines required for your degree, you can apply for your diploma. Here you will find the application form.
You may also forward the completed and signed application to us by e-mail. The diploma will be compiled within four weeks after the application has been submitted.

No. The diploma does not contain information about the duration of the study.
- How and where do I receive a confirmation for my compulsory internship?Hide

A confirmation for the compulsory internship can be requested online on the homepage of the Praktikantenservice Wirtschaftswissenschaften.
- How do I register for exams and seminars?Hide

Registration for examinations and seminars is generally done via cmlife within the indicated deadlines.
- What is the maximum duration for study and how many semesters is the maximum duration for study?Hide

Maximum duration of study means the duration of the study, which you may be enrolled maximally in a certain study program.
IIn the bachelor's degree programs Business Administration, Economics, Health Economics, International Economics and Development and Business Administration and Engineering, the bachelor's exam is considered as failed for the first time if a student has not achieved all the required 180 credits for the reasons he/she is responsible for until the end of the 8th semester.
If the missing examinations are not passed within one year after the end of the 8th semester due to reasons for which the student is responsible, or if the repetition possibilities have been exhausted, then the final exam is definitely not passed.
In the economics master programs Business Administration, Economics, Health Economics, International Economics and Governance and Business Administration and Engineering, the Master's examination is considered as failed for the first time, if a student has not reached all required 120 credits for the reasons he/she is responsible for until the end of the 6th semester.
If the missing examinations are not passed within one year after the end of the 6th semester due to reasons for which the student is responsible, or if the repetition possibilities have been exhausted, then the master examination is definitely not passed.
